Open the downloaded file
Locate ctrld-mac.pkg in your Downloads folder and double-click to run the installer.
Follow the installer steps
Click through the installer. Enter your Mac password when prompted to allow the system extension to install.
Allow the VPN configuration
macOS will ask to add a VPN configuration — click Allow. Control D uses this to filter DNS traffic without routing your browsing through a third-party server.
Web Firewall is active
Control D is now running. Malicious sites, trackers, and restricted content will be blocked automatically.
Open the downloaded file
Locate ctrld-windows-setup.exe in your Downloads folder and double-click to run it.
Allow the installer to run
Click Yes when Windows asks for admin permission. The installer runs quietly and takes about 30 seconds.

Install via terminal
Open a terminal and run the one-line installer:curl -sSL https://download.controld.com/install.sh | sudo sh
Start the service
Run:sudo systemctl enable --now ctrld

Run ctrld status to confirm the service is running.
Open the Google Play Store
On your Android device, open the Play Store and search for Control D.
Install the app
Tap Install on the Control D listing. The app is free — your company has a business licence.
Allow the VPN configuration
Tap Allow when Android asks to set up a VPN connection. This is how Control D intercepts and filters DNS requests.

A key icon in your status bar confirms Control D is running and filtering traffic.
Open the App Store
On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and search for Control D.
Install the app
Tap Get on the Control D listing and authenticate with Face ID or your passcode.
